HAULIN' ASS REVIEWS:

I'm almost surprised to see no guest appearance by Big Red Goad on this one; Haulin' Ass is Hellstomper's hefty tribute to truck drivin' motherfuckers across the nation. Besides their own superior "Truckin' Song" from their first EP, "Wired", "Haulin' Ass", "Dead Man's Ridge", "Hellbent for Dixie", and "Ass Gas or Grass", as well as string & ivory tickler Sweet GA Brown's instrumental "Sunday Drive with Sweet GA Brown", you get 11 hard rockin' covers done up Southern style. There's a good range here, from Lonnie Irving's "Pinball Machine" and Gregg Allman's "Midnight Rider" through to Motorhead's "White Line Fever" and Cocknoose's "Alcohol Burnin' Man." There's even a fat-bottomed bonus track. Slip this baby into your vehicle, load up on black coffee and pork rinds, and you're good to go.
—Paniscus Revue

A combination of originals and cover tunes from Hellstomper, another Southern punk rock and roll band, with more of a Motorhead feel. But they still play fast and drunken punk rock that can be heard on such songs as "Haulin' Ass," "Ramblin' Man," "Ass, Gas or Grass" and more killer red neck 'n roll songs.

SPLIT 7" REVIEWS:

ANTiSEEN starts off in their continuing effort to ruin your world with a cover of Hellstomper's anthem, "Hellstomper". This is fucking brutal! Mr. Jeff Clayton's voice just drips with venom! Joe Young's guitar playing is not of this earth. A very unsavory and dangerous duo, these! Turn the bitch over and you get Hellstomper doing their take on the old Motorhead gem, "White Line Fever." This is ver good!

ABOUT THE BAND:

Formed in 1994 by Alan "The Goddam" King and Sweet GA Brown, Hellstomper spent their first four years exclusively playing south of the Mason-Dixon Line, redefining southern rock. They've built their legend on a moonshine-fueled blend of musical madness, taking cues from sources as diverse as David Allan Coe, Motorhead, Skynyrd and GG Allin (to name a few) but coming up with a sound all their own. The band's recorded output includes a batch of 7"s for different labels and split CD with (recent COS inductees) Before I Hang (on Baloney Shrapnel) and the band's first full-length CD, "Hillbilly Motherfucker," (Man's Ruin). 2001 was a busy year for the boys, highlighted by a two week stint on the road with their COS brothers Cocknoose and the release of their second full length, "Haulin Ass". Also be on the lookout for "Hellbent For Dixie...and a whole lot more," a collection of raretites spanning the band's first eight years, due out soon on Proud To Be Idiot records.
