(1/28/01 update)

Just a quickie this time - as mentioned above, we're taking off for a little R & R (and we'll have plenty of R & R with us to listen to while we rest and relax) but before leaving we're sending the Cretin 66 CD off to the pressing plant so it should be arriving at the SCR compound shortly after we return. Check back in a few weeks for the skinny on that excellent disc. In other news, we had to bump the FDQFP13 release back by a month; so Wednesday 13 can do a little re-arranging of the tracks and I have plenty of time to brew up some devilishly tasty art for the booklet. Other than that things are on course.

I'll be thinking of all of you while I'm poolside - with a frosty adult beverage in one hand, that tell-all Motley Crue bio that my foxy friend Alex loaned me in the other, plenty of sunscreen on to protect my paleness, and the handsome & shirtless Mr Steel Cage by my side. Until next update, be good - or if you can't, be good at being bad.

xoxo,

Miss Leslie

(11/12/01 update)

Since last we spoke I've come to terms with the fact that updating & maintaining a web site is a righteous pain in the ass! Just thought I'd let you know. However, for the sake of the rock, and for the kids, update I must - and so I shall.

First is the announcement of the arrival of two new releases (quite a few boxes are literally still sitting by our front door) - Sumthin' Sleazy, a split CD of loud & lusty trash rock tunes featuring the super sexy sounds of the 440s and the Chickenhawks (both bands recorded by Jeff Dahl) and the latest in a long string of excellent releases by the equally sexy Leaving Trains, Emotional Legs - a moody psychedelic punk rock gem that could only spring forth from this legendary LA combo. Both CDs are available now.

Not quite as hot off the presses but still steamy: ANTiSEEN - Hell, a re-mastered, and re-tooled edition of their 1995 classic featuring seven additional tracks and a swanky new booklet; HELLSTOMPER - Haulin' Ass, the second full-length offering from these Southern gentlemen; a musical ode to the road, featuring enough covers and original tunes to keep you truckin' all through the night; a split 7" with the aforementioned heavyweights ANTiSEEN and HELLSTOMPER (ANTiSEEN pays homage to their COS brothers with a rendition of "Hellstomper" & Hellstomper offers up their version of Motorhead's "White Line Fever".); and a 7" by NOTHING BUT PUKE, featuring two tracks of fast and heavy punkrock&roll from this infamous German combo. Check the catalog page for more info on those discs and the rest of our catalog.

The paypal/on-line ordering thing has been in effect for a few weeks and I'm happy to report - it works! Ah, technology.

Up next:

Cretin 66 - Demolition Safari CD (due out in Dec.)

Kansas City prime R&Bpunkrock’n’rollfuckedupmetallicnoise; USDA choice!

Frankenstein Drag Queens From Planet 13 - Viva Los Violence CD (due out in Jan.)

13 devilishly rocking ditties from this enigmatic and evil combo!

But fear not, Larry & I have already started assembling the soon-to-be-revealed 2002 release schedule & in the noble Steel Cage tradition, each and every release will rock as mightily as it's predecessor. (Insert devil horns here.)

Over & Out,

Miss Leslie
