REVIEWS:

Excellent punk rock from Philly's finest. The Stuntmen have an interesting sound, mixing the replacements with the Humpers. It works really well for them, since there are lots of great riffs and songwriting. "Hurry Up And Wait" even reminded me of the Lazy Cowgirls
—Hit List v.3, #1

This is one of the finest slabs of rock ‘n’ roll I’ve had the good fortune to slap in the ol’ hi-fi in some time. Close my eyes and I’m transported back to the days when I was dropping tons of cash to discover the wonders of American and Aussie rock circa 1975-1985. We’re talking the pop sensibilities of pre-hugeness Cheap Trick meets Radio Birdman and the Celibate Rifles with a splish splash of the Nomads tossed in for a Euro-trash-punk feel. Kudos all around for rockin’ my world when I needed it most!

ABOUT THE BAND:

Hatched out of Philadelphia’s once fertile underground music scene, the Stuntmen are a rock and roll band built on a foundation of solid songwriting and powerful live performances. Formed by Ben Brower (guitars & vocals) in 1994 the band, in one form or another, has had a bunch of releases on various labels and bashed out tunes in smoke-filled, alcohol-stained clubs; local dives; and various holes-in-the-wall up and down the East Coast (and back and forth across the country at least once) creating a reputation for their loud and energetic shows. After sustaining a series of lineup changes over the years, Ben solidified the group in 1999 by teaming up with Tom Connors (drums; also of Philly garage rock combo Mondo Topless) and Peter Santa Maria (bass); a couple years and NO lineup changes later, the band is still kicking, occassionally screaming, and delivering their brand of raw, guitar-driven, hook-laden rock to the masses.
